Red Clam Sauce with Linguine


Ingredients:

1# Linguine
2-6 1/2 Cans Chopped Clams with Liquid
One Medium Onion Peeled and Chopped
1/8 Cup Olive Oil
28 oz. Can Crushed Tomatoes
6 oz. Can Tomato Paste
4-6oz. Cans Water
One Teaspoon Salt
1/4 Teaspoon Pepper

Preparation:

Sauté the onion in olive oil, then place in a saucepan. Add the crushed tomatoes, tomato paste and 4-6 oz. cans of water. Bring it to a slow boil and lower heat slightly. Add the clams with the liquid from the clams, add salt and pepper. Cook on low heat about 30 minutes.

Pour the sauce over linguine cooked al dente, serve with a tossed salad with your favorite dressing. Fresh pineapple from the produce department for dessert completes a meal that’s easy to prepare and that your family will love.
